VAPOR V LV is a versatile shoe in an even lower volume. It offers the perfect balance of flex and support. The low toe profile and lower volume shape adapts well to slim feet.

Another stalwart of the SCARPA climbing shoe range, the Vapor V LV (Low Volume) is a tried and trusted bastion of the Balanced Performance series. With an impeccable blend of performance, comfort, versatility and durability it’s easy to see why this shoe can be seen everywhere; from indoor boulder gyms to the windswept granite towers of Patagonia.

Built around the lower volume FRW last, the Vapor V LV provides a slightly asymmetrical and slightly downturned profile. The microfibre upper and padded air mesh tongue marry perfectly with the opposing Velcro straps, for an instantly comfortable fit and secure heel hold. A full length Flexan midsole partners the Bi-Tension rand system to offer the optimum levels of support. Vibram XS Grip2 rubber adds support, while providing cutting edge traction across a range of surfaces.

This iteration of the Vapor V sees a switch from the M70 toe rand - used in its predecessor - to that of the harder, lower stretch Ilga rubber rand seen in the Instinct series. This results in a shoe that holds its toe point, edging precision for longer and provides improved durability.

Often mistaken for a mid-range shoe, the modern Vapor’s complex multi-panel (7) construction, precise fit, premium feature set and worldwide fanbase attest to far more!

Features

• New heel construction in microfibre reduces weight and dramatically enhances “next to skin” comfort in the Achilles area.
• New heel rand construction provides a more stable and higher friction zone for enhanced performance on more loaded heel hooks.
• Revised toe rand, provides improved comfort and toe hook protection.
• Revised tongue construction is lighter, more breathable and retains its shape and positioning through the additional elastic in the closure.

These are just for general guidance as we can't guarantee a good fit unless you come in store, unfortunately!

If you are new to rock shoes, we HIGHLY recommend either using hire shoes for a few sessions or getting to a local shop to try some on. If that isn't possible, then give us a call or drop us an email! We can offer you a bit of advice from our years of experience.

If you are used to rock shoes, this guidance should help you to reach a good fit. This is still not guaranteed as everybody has different shaped feet: wide, narrow, high volume, low volume, long toes, short toes, bunions, heel spurs and all the rest. The very best thing to do is make your excuses and take a trip to come see us in North Wales. You can get some proper shoes, heaps of shiny kit and most importantly - out on real rock!
