Recent Developments (on The Dark Side) 2025

The eagerly awaited 2nd edition of Recent Developments (on the Dark Side) contains all of the information included in the 1stedition plus an additional 40 routes climbed or identified since. There is one new photo-diagram, and all others have been updated.
All proceeds from the sale of the guide go to the North Wales Bolt Fund. To date, we have been able to donate £960.

The Recent Developments Guide covers over 60 routes in the Glyn Rhonwy slate quarries climbed since, or otherwise omitted from the 2018 Rockfax North Wales Slate Guide.

Including a wealth of new routes as well as updated descriptions of existing ones, this guide is intended to be used in conjunction with existing guides and, unless otherwise stated, details of approaches and access are as described in previous guides.

Designed to fit easily in your pocket, it provides photo topos of 8 neglected crags hosting mostly sport routes from 5c to 7b+, but also trad routes from VS to E5.

The vast majority of bolts placed on the routes recorded in the guide were provided by the North Wales Bolt Fund. All profits from the sales of this guide will be donated to the fund.
