Northumberland Bouldering
The sandstone of Northumberland offers some of the best bouldering in the Country, often in a remote and beautiful setting.
This, the second edition, documents over 2000 independent problems on 50 major and minor crags, including Back Bowden; Bowden Doors; Callerhues; Corby's Crag; Doveholes; Edlingham; Hepburn; Kyloe Crag; Kyloe In; Queens Crag; Raven's Crag; Rothley; Shaftoe; Simonside; and Ravensheugh, plus many minor outcrops.
The details of many of the crags are in the public domain for the first time.
The guide is in full colour with 80 plus double page and full page action photographs, together with hundreds of topos and smaller photographs. Accurate and detailed location maps to all crags help to make the guide very user friendly and invaluable to both the local activist and visiting climber.
The Fontainebleau grading system which is becoming the grade of choice for the dedicated boulderer has been adopted (An explanation of which, is included in the introductory chapters to the guide).
