The 2026 SCARPA Helix builds on the model's legacy, offering a comfortable, versatile climbing shoe designed to be precise, durable and supportive. Its neutral fit, Vibram® XS Edge outsole, and lace-to-toe closure deliver solid performance on long routes and extended sessions.

A true all-rounder, the Helix tackles vertical faces, slabs, cracks, and moderate bouldering with confidence and precision. A broad toe box, with a classic profile adapts to both edging and smearing—or a balance of the two—depending on how tightly it’s fitted, while the neutral fit ensures all-day comfort without compromising performance.

The heel delivers a secure, protective fi t while minimising pressure to the Achilles, and the Vibram® XS Edge rubber outsole supplies a grippy yet supportive platform; making edging and smearing stable and reliable.

Comfort is a standout feature of the Helix: the unlined ECO leather upper molds naturally to the foot with minimal stretch, and the lace-up system allows fine-tuned adjustments. Its moderate profile makes the shoe ideal for long, multi-pitch routes as well as walking between climbs.

Durable, adaptable, and dependable, the Helix remains a go-to choice for climbers seeking a single versatile shoe that blends comfort, performance, and support into one confident package.

SCARPA athlete and well-known climber Robbie Phillips has written a series of informative guides on how to choose and get the most out of your climbing shoes. You can check them out here.

These are just for general guidance as we can't guarantee a good fit unless you come in store, unfortunately!

If you are new to rock shoes, we HIGHLY recommend either using hire shoes for a few sessions or getting to a local shop to try some on. If that isn't possible, then give us a call or drop us an email! We can offer you a bit of advice from our years of experience.

If you are used to rock shoes, this guidance should help you to reach a good fit. This is still not guaranteed as everybody has different shaped feet: wide, narrow, high volume, low volume, long toes, short toes, bunions, heel spurs and all the rest. The very best thing to do is make your excuses and take a trip to come see us in North Wales. You can get some proper shoes, heaps of shiny kit and most importantly - out on real rock!
